CHAIR YOGA

A very gentle, beginner's class in which we use the chair for support through all poses, either standing next to the chair or sitting in it.  Emphasis is on exploring range of motion; breathing exercises; and developing greater flexibility.  No mat needed, just comfortable, stretch clothing.  Excellent class for those with injuries, stiffness, or decreased mobility due to surgery; this class can be done in a wheelchair. 
This class will give you a great workout and is adaptable for all levels.

All levels of experience are welcome!

This is an 8 week, Monday afternoon class.

SLOW FLOW YOGA

Put yourself first, and use your lunch hour wisely! Sign up for this gentle, flowing class in which we move through poses, usually holding a pose for 15-20 seconds.  Emphasis is on slow movement through the available range of motion, gradually building strength and flexibility.  Participants bring their own mat, wear stretch clothing and are comfortable with moving from a standing position to the floor and back up again. Occasionally we will use props such as chairs, blocks and straps (all provided by instructor, but wonderful if some participants can bring their own).  

This class is beneficial for beginning and intermediate yoga students.

11:30 A.M. -12:30 P.M. Hunt College Union, Cafe Union Square

This is an 8 week, Wednesday late-morning class.

YOGA SCULPT

Yoga Sculpt is a true total body workout using 1-2 pound hand weights during a mixed level sequence of yoga postures. This class will help decrease the chance of osteoporosis by increasing muscles, bone strength, and flexibility. Yoga Sculpt will help challenge you in new ways. This class is offered at the end of the workday to fit right into your busy schedule. Make a little time for you!

Please bring your own 1-2 pound weights. Yoga blocks will be used and are provided by the instructor. Please do not wear any perfumes or scented lotions as some people are very sensitive to these. Wear unrestrictive, comfortable clothing. Bring a mat and water and please avoid eating prior to each class. Practicing barefoot is preferred.

4:30-5:30 P.M. Hunt College Union, Butternut Valley Room

This is a 7 week Monday late-afternoon class.
Fee: $70.00 Max: 15 students

GENTLE HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga helps build awareness of your body and mind while gently stretching and strengthening. Hatha is a slow-paced and gentle Yoga that provides a basic introduction to Yoga poses. Please do not wear any perfumes or scented lotions as some people are very sensitive to these. Yoga blocks will be used and are provided by the instructor. Wear unrestrictive, comfortable clothing. Bring a mat and water and please avoid eating prior to each class. Practicing barefoot is preferred.

6:00-7:00 P.M. Chase Physical Education Building, Dance Studio

This is an 8 week Tuesday evening class.
Fee: $80.00 Max: 15 students
