Why SUNY Oneonta?
I came to SUNY Oneonta because my sister was here, actually. She had me come and visit the campus, and she took me on tours and showed me all the buildings and everything, and I just fell in love with it.

My best experience has definitely been the SUNY Oneonta Robert Noyce Scholars Program, which prepares science majors to be successful in teaching in high-need rural and urban schools. We go to New York City once a year for a week and go into inner-city schools to get the experience of what it's like to teach in a different area than we're used to, and kind of get the whole experience of living there and commuting in the city. That’s really opened my mind.
About My Major
My favorite professor is Dr. Michael Faux. I've had him for four semesters now. He really wants us to succeed. He wants everyone to be the best they can be, and he's very focused on everyone's futures and doing what's best for your future.
What I’ll Remember in 20 Years
I love this place because of the community aspect of it. I came from a small town, so it has that same small-town feel, and I love how everyone just comes together and everyone is part of a family here. No matter what you do, there's always something you can be a part of.
