Why SUNY Oneonta?

I chose SUNY Oneonta because of its scenery. I got accepted to another SUNY school and visited the same day, but I didn’t get the same welcoming feeling I got when I came to Oneonta and visited. My tour guide was really good at answering my questions and concerns, because this was my first time going away from home. I realized, "This is where I want to be."

Best Experiences

Studying abroad in Thailand has been my favorite experience because it broadened my horizons and helped me get out of my comfort zone. I had never heard of people studying abroad there, so that’s why I chose it.

What I’ll Remember in 20 Years

My fondest memories are of living in the FYE buildings and the hall and floor meetings. Everybody would get along, and that’s where you make the most friends. Because everybody’s nervous of being in a new setting and being with new people, it’s easier to meet and make friends because you’re all in the same boat.
