Why SUNY Oneonta?

During my college process, I visited many schools -- 17, actually. I just knew Oneonta was the one from the very beginning. I stepped onto campus and I knew I was at home. The entire campus is beautiful and clean, and all the faculty, staff and students I met were very welcoming. I just knew I belonged.

My Activities

Vice president of Pitch Slapped (a capella group), treasurer of the Association of Secondary Educators, Tour Guide, Admissions Assistant, Orientation Leader, Oneonta Connection Team, intramural Volleyball

Best Experiences

Pass Through the Pillars was a wonderful experience. I think that’s just something I’ll never forget -- being on campus and seeing all the faculty and staff there to support you. It made coming to Oneonta as a freshman very welcoming.

What I’ll Remember in 20 Years

It will be everything I got involved in, from Pitch Slapped events to all the close friends I’ve made in my education courses. I’ll never forget being involved in my different clubs on campus.

Plans, Goals, Dreams

After graduation, I’ll be student teaching in the fall at home, and then I hope to get a full-time job. If that doesn’t happen, I’m going to get my master's, which I hope to get through SUNY Oneonta, as well. I would love to be a high school math teacher someday, or possibly a guidance counselor.
