This minor not only provides an appreciation of the heritage of Africana & Latinx peoples, but is a complement to several majors, especially those seeking careers in education, social services, law, and the entertainment industry. Students are encouraged to study a foreign language and/or engage in independent study work (ALS 299). - One half (1/2) of the minor coursework must be completed in residence
