University Advisory Council on Internal Communications

Charge

The University Advisory Council on Internal Communication will serve as an advisory/working group that will:

  • provide feedback from the SUNY Oneonta community
  • advise on policies and initiatives and guide priorities
  • assist with communication tasks and initiatives, and
  • educate the community on the role and responsibilities of students, employees, and other stakeholders to stay informed.

Goal

To build trust among and within the SUNY Oneonta community through better internal communication.

Role

Provide feedback from all internal stakeholders to the Director of Internal Communications and the President to create a communication strategy that leads to improved morale, employees feeling valued, a better-informed campus and overall institutional strength.

Assist with establishing and supporting initiatives that breakdown the perception of silos, engender a collective mindset and shapes expectations for the SUNY Oneonta community regarding the needs, challenges, and realistic solutions for internal communications.
