Living off campus as an upperclassman is a great way to learn to live more independently before you graduate from college. Making a budget, cooking your own meals, paying bills, negotiating relationships with neighbors and housemates... These are all incredible skills to learn as you begin to prepare for the next steps in life after earning your degree. If you live in the area, you may have decided to commute to campus to save money. Either way, we are here for you!

Our Off-Campus and Commuter Student program supports you with navigating the off-campus experience and provides you with opportunities to make meaningful connections to foster a sense of belonging and a connected college experience. Support is available to you through the following programs and services:

  • Support for living independently: assistance navigating off-campus life, such as finding an apartment and roommates, staying safe, your rights as a rental tenant, adhering to the Code of Student Conduct, and being a good neighbor.
  • Events and activities: access to exclusive events, workshops and social gatherings designed for commuter students.
  • Transportation assistance: tips, carpool buddies and public transportation information to make your commute easier.
  • Academic resources: study groups, library resources and academic support tailored to your needs.
  • Community building: connect with fellow commuter students and build a supportive community.
  • Volunteering: get involved in organizing events and earn volunteer hours for your resume.
  • Rewards program: earn points for attending events that can be redeemed for rewards such as merch, lunch tickets, Starbuck's gift cards, and more!
