Get a head start on your Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University at Albany while completing your bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oneonta.
How it Works
SUNY Oneonta and the University at Albany have established an accelerated, 4+1 Bachelor of Arts /Master of Public Health pathway for high-achieving students. If you’re majoring in anthropology and have chosen the Health and Human Biology track at SUNY Oneonta, you may be able to begin your Master of Public Health (MPH) coursework while still completing your undergraduate degree.
If you are accepted to the program, you’ll take four online MPH courses during your senior year, which will count toward both your undergraduate and graduate degrees. Upon completing your BA, you’ll transition to the University at Albany to finish the MPH program in your fifth year.
Eligibility to Apply
- Completion of 56 semester hours toward the anthropology BA
- Hold a 3.20 GPA
- Completion of any prerequisite courses required for your chosen MPH specialty at the University at Albany
- Eligible students should apply in the spring of their junior year, typically by the priority deadline of Jan. 15, as fall grades will be considered.
