The Families@Oneonta Portal is your one-stop resource for staying informed, connected, and involved in your student’s SUNY Oneonta experience. Whether you're looking for the latest campus news, key deadlines, or ways to support your student from afar, our portal keeps you in the loop every step of the way.
Inside the Families@Oneonta Portal, You'll Find:
- Communities: Join groups that align with your family’s journey, whether you’re navigating the first year, part of the AOP community, or managing financial aid and scholarships. Each community features relevant articles, updates, and discussion posts tailored to your needs.
- Online Workshops: Pillars of Support Workshop Series: This virtual workshop series offers deeper insight into SUNY Oneonta’s services and student support, from academic advising and mental health to career development and student engagement.
- Personalized Newsletters: Receive newsletters curated just for you, based on the communities you've joined. You choose how often you want to hear from us; weekly, biweekly, monthly, or quarterly.
- Text Messaging Updates: Prefer updates via text? You can now opt in to receive important reminders and announcements right to your phone through the portal.

The Families@Oneonta Portal is your best resource! It offers campus news, event updates, workshops, and ways to engage with other families. You can also opt in for text messaging updates through the portal.
Family Weekend is an annual event held in the fall. Registration opens on the first day of classes every year through the Families@Oneonta Portal. Be sure to check the portal for event schedules and activity details.

Students can access billing information and payment options via MyOneonta. For detailed help, visit the Student Accounts page.
The Career Planning & Networking Center offers resume help, career counseling, and mock interviews. Encourage your student to connect with their office early and often!
SUNY Oneonta offers a range of support through the Counseling Center, including individual therapy, group sessions, crisis services, and workshops. All services are free and confidential.

Yes! Students receive mail and packages at Dragon Express, located in the basement of Hunt Union. You can send items via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL.

Dragon Dollars is an optional, reloadable spending account linked to your student's SUNY Oneonta ID card. It can be used on campus and at participating off-campus restaurants and stores. Unlike Retail Dining Dollars, Dragon Dollars are taxable and can be refunded upon request at semester end or upon separation from SUNY Oneonta. You can add funds through the GET system, by visiting the ID/Dining Card Office in the Red Dragon Outfitters, or by calling 607-436-3367. The ID/Dining Card Office accepts credit/debit cards, checks, and cash.
