Juried Student Show

Applications for the 2026 Juried Student Show are now open from November 24 through January 18, 2026. Applicants will be notified of their submission status via email on Monday, February 9, around 4pm.

Submit work to be considered for the 2026 Juried Student Show, on view from March 24 - May 2, 2026 in the Martin-Mullen Gallery, celebrating with a reception on Thursday, April 30, from 5-7 p.m. All student artists who have taken art classes from January 2025 (last spring semester) to the present are eligible to apply. We accept all mediums, but the work must have been created for a SUNY Oneonta art class, be original, and not already exhibited in the Galleries. Students may submit up to three (3) different works for consideration. All works must be submitted within one form; SlideRoom will not allow multiple form submissions. Submit your digital ENTRY FORM via SlideRoom no later than Friday, January 18 at midnight. Work submissions will be ranked digitally and should not be dropped off unless they are selected for exhibition.

Submissions to the Juried Student Show are ranked anonymously by SUNY Oneonta Art Department's full-time faculty members and will include a portion of artworks preselected by the full-time and part-time faculty. There will also be approximately $3,000.00 in awards that will be juried by a guest juror and presented to selected students based on their work.

TIMELINE:

1. SUBMIT A DIGITAL ENTRY FORM: by Sunday, January 18, 2026 at midnight. All works must be submitted together on one form; SlideRoom will not allow multiple form submissions.
2. FINALISTS NOTIFIED: Monday, February 9, ~4 p.m. via email.
3. MATTING WORKSHOPS: February 16 - March 6 (Monday - Friday) between 11 a.m.-3 p.m. FA 163 Gallery prep-room. You must sign up for a workshop at a set time, instructions will be given in the notification email.
4. ARTWORK DROP-OFF: March 2-6, 2026, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. For all work that is not being matted in the Gallery prep-room.
5. EXHIBITION OPENS: Tuesday, March 24, 11 a.m.
6. RECEPTION & AWARDS: Thursday, April 30, 5-7 p.m.
7. EXHIBITION CLOSES: Saturday, May 2, 4 p.m.
8. PICK UP ARTWORK: May 4-15, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or confirm other arrangements for pick up by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 8.
