Students who qualify for a financial aid refund and have fully registered cleared their semester bill and completed all financial requirements will receive payment as the college receives disbursements on their behalf.
SUNY Oneonta has partnered with BankMobile Disbursements to deliver all student refunds. This partnership allows students to choose from two refund selection preferences but does not impact eligibility for financial aid, the timing of financial aid disbursements to SUNY Oneonta, or the amount of the refund.
To select a refund preference, go to the BankMobile Refund Selection page and enter the personal code that was mailed, or emailed to you.
BankMobile refund choices include:
- DEPOSIT TO AN EXISITING ACCOUNT – Money is transferred to an existing account the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school. Typically, it takes 1-2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to your account.
- DEPOSIT TO A BANKMOBILE VIBE ACCOUNT – If you open a BankMobile Vibe checking account (upon identity verification), money is deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from your school.
Students who do not select a refund option will experience a delay in receiving their refund.
*Bank Mobile VIBE Checking Account users - Please be sure to read the terms and conditions regarding recent changes to Bank Mobile's fee structure. Click here to view the fee schedule. If you have designated a different bank account for direct deposit, this does not apply to you.*
Parent Plus refund checks are mailed to the permanent address of the parent and are not managed through BankMobile.
Individual financial aid items are paid to the college at different times. Therefore, the total refund may not be paid in one transaction; more than one refund may be issued based on the payment date of each aid item.
To provide the college with a local address, visit Oneonta Web Services and select personal information. To update your permanent address, contact the Registrar’s Office.
