Please DO NOT force washer door open on Maytag Front loader washers!
If the washer is taking longer than the displayed time to complete cycle it is trying to "correct" either an over suds or an off-balance condition.
The washer will try to correct the problem by adding water or redistributing the load.
The washer will stop and allow the door to open on its own after it has tried to correct the problem.
The washer can also be unplugged and the door will open after a 3 minute waiting period if the problem persists.
Liquid HE detergent is recommended.
The front load washers use less water so less soap is required.
If you use pods, please place them in the tub with your clothes.
