As of May 5: Consistent with New York state and CDC guideline, we will not be requiring proof of vaccination or negative test for any graduate or guest. A decision about masking at Commencement will be made after a re-evaluation of the campus’ status and will be communicated to all participants and graduates the week of May 16. (These COVID-19 protocols are based on current public health guidance and are subject to change if conditions warrant.)
Masks are optional but encouraged for all graduates, guests and participants during commencement. Proof of vaccine or negative test will not be required for any attendees. We ask that anyone feeling ill in any way please stay home and not attend the ceremonies.
When to arrive, where to go, and more.
Parking, Traffic and Shuttle Vans
Plan to arrive to campus early. Traffic on and around campus will be busy (Hartwick College's graduation is the same day and a portion of West Street near Ravine Parkway is closed for construction).
Please use the campus entrance on East Street/Bugbee Road to avoid any delays caused by the construction on West St. and Hartwick's events. You will be directed to the nearest available parking lot. Shuttle vans will be available to transport graduates and their guests to and from all parking areas. (Masks will be required in the shuttles.)
Each graduate will receive four (4) tickets for guests to attend the ceremony in-person in the Alumni Field House. Tickets are required for anyone over the age of 2.
Ticketholders will be permitted to enter the Alumni Field House up to an hour before the ceremony begins.
Live Stream of Ceremonies
Non-ticketholders will be able to watch a live stream of the ceremony from an auditorium on campus in the Goodrich Theatre in the Fine Arts Center, or from the comfort of their homes. A live webcast will be also be streamed during each ceremony and archived on the college's YouTube channel after commencement.
