Parks, Forests & Trails

  • College Camp Mountain Biking and Hiking - a series of trails on and between SUNY Oneonta and College Camp properties.
  • Table Rock Trail – part of a series of trails on the Hartwick College Campus. Quick hikes, fantastic views. The trail system consists of three loops totaling about five miles.
  • Wilber Park - multiple easy trails through relatively thick woods. In the City of Oneonta off spruce street.
  • Oneonta Susquehanna Greenway - following the Susquehanna River for 6-miles from the West End, through the City and out to Fortin Park in the east end of Oneonta.
  • Fortin Park - pastures, playing fields, children’s play sets and picnic areas. It has 2 long paths for hiking and skiing.
  • Arnold Lake State Forest - features a 5.5mi loop trail and other walking paths surrounding Arnold Lake.
  • Robert V. Riddell State Park- multiple easy to moderate trails through forested woodlands, wide fields and along the Schenevus Creek.
  • Mid Lake Trail - easy hike to a bog at Mud Lake in R.V. Riddell State Park. Often is muddy and includes a small waterfall.
  • Pine Lake - multiple hiking trails of varying difficulty. Lake also has opportunities for swimming, boating and more.
  • Audubon Sanctuary - located on Franklin Mountain with multiple trails. There is a lookout with gorgeous views. Prime bird watching and a full immersion into nature.
