Our Fall 2024 group visits are closed. Please check back in January for our Spring group visit availability.
SUNY Oneonta values the opportunity for student groups to visit the campus. Visits are designed for high school juniors, seniors, and college transfer students. These visits include a 50-60 minute walking tour of campus with or without an information session.
Group visits are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. We do not offer group visits in the month of August or during our campus breaks. Summer group visits are possible and will be considered on a case by case basis. The group visit organizer must complete this online request form at least three weeks prior to the desired date of the visit. Once the request has been submitted, we will be in touch within 72 business hours to let you know if your request has been approved. Please keep in mind that our available dates may fill up quickly.
While visiting SUNY Oneonta, all visitors are expected to follow our Code of Conduct. Please read the section below and share it with all members of your group prior to your visit.
Code of Conduct
Visitors are expected to be well-behaved, respectful of our presenters, tour guides, and campus property. Visitors will be entering classroom buildings, residence halls and dining facilities where current students, faculty and staff will be carrying out their daily activities. It is important that visitors stay with your group, talk quietly and pay attention to your tour guide. Please remember that the students who attend this college consider this to be an extension of their home.
Disrespect to any individual, the campus, or dangerous, aggressive and/or threatening behavior will not be tolerated. Failure to adhere to this code of conduct will result in your school not being allowed to visit SUNY Oneonta in the future.
SUNY Oneonta staff including student tour guides reserve the right to end a group visit at any time if they feel visitors are breaching our Code of Conduct. Chaperones are expected to remain with the group until the conclusion of the visit and monitor behavior at all times. Groups MUST have one chaperone for every ten students visiting the campus.
If you have any questions or would like to speak to a staff member about a group visit, contact our office at 800-SUNY-123.
