SUNY Oneonta offers scholarships to a number of graduate students who are enrolled in degree programs. General information on scholarships may be obtained from the Financial Aid Office 607-436-2532.
Financial Aid
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), is the first step in the financial aid process. FAFSA is the application for federal aid, including loans.

Assistantships
SUNY Oneonta offers Graduate and Teaching Assistantships to a number of full-time graduate students who are enrolled in degree programs. Assistantships are awarded by academic departments. Assistantships may involve tuition waivers and/or stipends. Interested applicants should contact the Office of Admissions for additional information.
Graduate Opportunity Programs
Students who have graduated from a New York state institution of higher education EOP/HEOP or SEEK program or SUNY Oneonta's access and opportunity programs (CAMP & Aspire Oneonta) may apply for the Graduate Opportunity Program. Students must be accepted into the master's program first and then apply to GOP using the following forms:
Forms can be uploaded to a student's status page or emailed to gradstudies@oneonta.edu. Only a small number of awards are available for each term, and students should submit the forms as soon as possible. Information may be obtained from the Office of Opportunity Programs 607-436-2407 or through the Graduate Admissions Office.
