Overview

SUNY Oneonta’s Department of Communication and Media houses two programs—Communication Studies and Media Studies—that blend theory with hands-on practice. From analyzing how media shapes society to learning how to produce compelling content, students develop versatile skills that open doors to careers in media, communications, business and graduate study.

From editing labs and a TV studio to audio recording spaces and the OnNY Community Media Lab, our facilities give students the tools to create, collaborate and bring ideas to life.
