The Cooperstown Graduate Program trains creative, entrepreneurial museum leaders committed to generating programs and services for the public good. Our students learn by doing tangible, useful work on real-world projects. They dedicate themselves to developing institutions that play a central role in their communities, encouraging broad public audiences to use artifacts and the study of science, art, and history as a catalyst for social change.
CGP Community Stories presents the diverse stories of the residents of central New York State. A project of the Cooperstown Graduate Program (SUNY Oneonta) and the New York State Historical Association, CGP Community Stories serves the community as a dynamic tool for researchers and a record of significant changes in the rural areas of New York State. With oral histories available in digital audio format, visitors to the website can explore themes central to the lives of the people who live and work in the agricultural heartland of the state.
