The Oneonta Literary Festival, hosted by SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College, is a year-long celebration of literature featuring renowned authors, engaging workshops and captivating readings. All festival events will be free and open to the public.

Reading and Book Launch for Dr. Sheena Mason's "The Raceless Antiracist"

Wednesday, October 9, 7:00-8:30 P.M.

Dr. Sheena Mason will open the year-long Oneonta Literary Festival on Wednesday, October 9, with a fireside chat and Q and A with Dr. Howard Ashford of her new book, The Raceless Antiracist: Why Ending Race Is the Future of Antiracism. Admission is free to this and to all Oneonta Literary Festival events. The book will be available for purchase and signing.

Oneonta Literary Festival Kickoff

Thursday, Oct. 17 to Monday, Oct. 21

A four-day series of literary-themed events, including public readings and book signings by 11 noted poets, novelists and creative nonfiction writers; a book fair featuring local authors, poetry and prose workshops, and more. The Oneonta Literary Festival is supported by SUNY Oneonta's University Senate Committee on Public Events and English Department, Hartwick College's Arts and Humanities Division, Babcock Chair in English, Department of Literature, Media, and Writing, and Office of Academic Affairs, a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Red Dragon Reading Series, a Regaining Momentum grant from SUNY Oneonta, and Hartwick College's Visiting Writers Series; it is also sponsored by the SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association with financial support from the Fund for Oneonta.
