MGC Intake

MGC chapters can choose to take a line of new members in the fall and/or in the spring semester. The intake guidelines for each chapter are listed below.

MGC Intake Guidelines

  • Potential new members need to fill out the Greek registration form which can be found above. All potential members need to have 12 semester hours completed at SUNY Oneonta and have at least a 2.5 GPA.
  • New Member Educators need to meet with with the Greek Advisor to review SUNY Oneonta policies regarding intake.
  • New Member Educators must submit a daily outline of activities to the Greek Advisor one-week prior to intake. Please email Angie Eichler, Assistant Director Student Life and Leadership for a copy off the daily outline.
  • All new members must meet with the Greek Advisor to review SUNY Oneonta policies regarding intake within a week of starting the new member process.
  • The potential new members need to be initiated 3 weeks before finals begin.

Chapter Instagrams

Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity Inc.-Lambda Sigma Upsilon Fraternity (LSU) Inc. is a Latino fraternity founded on April 5, 1979 at Rutgers University. LSU has 81 chapters nationally and 6 alumni chapters.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. -Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. is a historically black fraternity that was founded in 1914 at Howard University in Washington, DC.

Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority Inc.-Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority (MSU) Inc. was founded at Rutgers University on November 21, 1981 and is recognized at the First Multicultural Sorority in the Nation.

Omega Phi Beta Sorority Inc.-Omega Phi Beta Sorority (OPB) Inc. was founded at SUNY Albany on March 15, 1989 by seventeen women of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. OPB is a member of NALFO (National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations)
