Built upon a shared commitment to student success, the SUNY-to-SUNY agreement allows students to complete one application to begin their education at Hudson Valley, complete their associate's degree, and then transition smoothly to SUNY Oneonta to complete their bachelors’ degree. Students can also opt into the agreement at any point during their time at HVCC.

The two schools are working together to develop up to 25 different program-to-program pathways across the HVCC schools of Health Science, Business and Liberal Arts, and STEM and will continue to consider additional programs.

“We are excited to finalize a dual admission partnership between Hudson Valley Community College and SUNY Oneonta that was created with students’ needs first and foremost,” says SUNY Oneonta President Alberto Cardelle. “This new pathway to transfer from HVCC to the SUNY Oneonta campus will save students money and time, so that they can access individualized information and support along every step of their successful journey to graduation.”

“Partnerships like this one are critically important to help students envision a clear path to the future from the time they begin their journey in higher education,” said Hudson Valley Community College President Dr. Michael Brophy. “Today’s agreement will help students plan their academic futures with the support and resources they need to save time and money as they transfer from Hudson Valley to Oneonta, and help ensure they are successful in reaching their academic goals.”
