Dietetics Mission, Goals and Objectives

Objective 1: (ACEND required) At least 60% of program graduates apply for admission to a supervised practice program prior to or within 12 months of graduation.

Objective 2: (ACEND required) Of program graduates who apply to a supervised practice program, at least 65% are admitted within 12 months of graduation.

Objective 3: Over a 3 year period, at least 80% of program graduates are either enrolled in a supervised practice program, a graduate program and/or employed in a nutrition and dietetics-related position within 12 months of program completion.

Objective 4: Over a 3 year period, 80% of graduating senior dietetics students indicate that they “strongly agree” or “agree” the program prepared them for entry into a food, nutrition, or dietetics career.

Objective 1: (ACEND required) The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within one year of first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%.

Objective 2: (ACEND required) At least 80% of program students complete program/degree requirements within 3 years (150% of the program length).

Objective 3: (ACEND required) At least 80% of directors rate program graduates as meeting preparation expectations to succeed in the supervised practice program and/or graduate program.

Objective 4: Over a 3 year period, 80% of graduates who enter supervised practice programs and/or graduate programs, or entry level professional positions indicate that their DPD program prepared them to successfully meet the demands of that program/position.

Objective 5: Over a 3 year period, 80% of graduates report having engaged in professional development activities in the past 12 months. (e.g. membership in a professional organization, community events, attended a professional conference).
