Social Media Minor

Competence developing and analyzing social media is not only professionally valuable, but also a necessary skill in an increasingly mediated world.

Students enrolled in the Social Media Minor develop the knowledge and skills to ethically create and implement social media content and develop expertise in understanding social media’s political and cultural effects.

The minor is open to all undergraduate students.

  • MDIA 2105 - Digital Storytelling
  • COMM 3310 - Strategic Communication

  • COMM/MDIA 3997 - Internship (must be approved through university processes and must be related to social media as approved by Department Faculty Advisor and Department Chair)
