The Africana & Latinx Studies Major combines methods of ‘tradition’ disciplines (history, economics, literature, philosophy, sociology, etc.) with an intersectional approach (i.e., race, class, & gender) to analyze the Black and Latinx experience in the Americas and nations of origin, e.g., in Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
