Join us for a new orientation experience and enjoy beautiful Oneonta during the summer!

The Office of Student Success (OSS) is hiring 24-28 Dragon Guides (DGs) to assist us with orientation sessions throughout the summer and serve as peer leaders for the fall semester. Contract Dates: June 26 - July 23 and August 20 - December 20

Summer Responsibilities:
DGs will participate in training from June 26 - July 1. DGs will assist with Step One of orientation by facilitating small groups of first year students and assisting their family members through seven orientation sessions between July 5 - July 23. Benefits include: free on campus housing, provided meals, $2000 stipend, professional development and networking opportunities, and exclusive OSS apparel.

Fall Responsibilities:
DGs will return to their fall residence to begin a brief training on August 20 to prepare for the August components of orientation (including the last date for Step One and the Step Two portion for all new students). Once the semester begins, DGs will work approximately 6 hours per week serving as a peer leader for the students they met over the summer including sending students timely messages and hosting programs. Benefits include: professional development and networking opportunities and a $1200 stipend.

Looking to earn even more this summer? The Offices of Student Success and Admissions have teamed up to provide qualified candidates an additional employment option as a Tour Guide. Together, our departments will ensure students who are hired for both roles are able to split their time successfully.
