The Science Discovery Center is located in the Physical Science building on the SUNY Oneonta campus, room 112. In the summer there is a lot of open parking near the Physical Science building: look for the visitor (V) and commuter (C) parking lots below the Physical Science and Human Ecology buildings. During the academic year, especially during the work week, guests will need to get a free, no-registration day pass to park in visitor and commuter lots; passes can be picked up at the Center's main desk or contact us ahead of time and we can email it to you to print out. There is handicapped parking a short distance from the Center's doors, please feel free to call ahead (607) 436-2011 for assistance.
The SUNY Oneonta observatory is located at College Camp, approximately 2 miles north of campus. To get there, take East St north from campus about 1.5-2 miles until you see a sign on your left announcing College Camp. The road to the camp is just past this sign on the left. Take the road through the white gate and all the way up the hill to the top. You will see the observatory domes there, in a very large clearing.
The SUNY Oneonta Planetarium is located on the basement level of the Perna Science Building on campus. This building is located on West Dormitory Rd. A campus map can be found below, with the SUNY Oneonta Planetarium highlighted in red.
If you are entering campus from West St. via Ravine Parkway, follow Ravine Parkway up until you reach Bugbee Rd on the right. Bear right on Bugbee, follow the curve to the right and then make an immediate right turn onto West Dormitory Rd. Drive straight down, around a curve to the right, and Perna Science is on your right.
If you are entering campus from East St. via Bugbee Road, drive up the hill onto campus, pass East Dormitory Rd, then take a left on West Dormitory Rd. Perna Science (previously Science I) will be on your right.
