Sociology, Human Services, and Crime Studies Department Courses

The Sociology, Human Services, and Crime Studies Department offers a variety of courses, both general and specific. General courses include courses on conducting research on human behavior and social change and courses on influential theories and frameworks for understanding society. Courses also cover cutting-edge topics such as environmental crime, sexuality, racial inequality in the criminal justice system, political extremism, death, substance dependency, drugs and society, the sexual offender, health and medicine, human-animal relations, domestic violence, aging and family, migration, and the sociology of food. There is much to explore and many opportunities to discover new interests and develop your own personal expertise!
