SUNY Oneonta hosts several summer programs for various interests and ages. Some of our programs are directed by our own faculty, coaches, and students, while others are managed by outside private groups. Please review the links below for further information. The SUNY Oneonta Volleyball Summer Clinic is intended for high school girl’s in 9th grade or older looking to improve their volleyball skills. This clinic is an excellent opportunity to brush up on your skills and get exposure to college level coaching.

The Clinic will focus on individual technical skills instruction with an opportunity to show your skills in live games.

Pre-registration is required. We will limit the camp size to 25 girls so that individualized attention from coaching staff will be a priority. Please submit online registration form and mail your check to the address below along with cash or check for $75.00. Checks should be made payable to: SUNY Oneonta Women’s Volleyball. No refunds will be given without medical documentation stating camper is unable to participate in the clinic.

The SUNY Oneonta Men’s Basketball Prospect Camp is intended for high school boy’s in 9th grade or older looking to improve their basketball skills. This clinic is an excellent opportunity to improve your skills and get exposure to college level coaching.

The camp will focus on individual technical skills instruction with an opportunity to show your skills in live games.

Pre-registration is required. We will limit the camp size to 23 boys so that individualized attention from coaching staff will be a priority. The clinic will have a limit of 40 camper and will NOT allow walk up registration due to campus COVID-19 protocols. All registration must be done ahead of time.

SUNY Oneonta “Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall” Softball Clinic

Cost: $55 for 1 session, $100 for both sessions
**Lunch will NOT be provided. Please bring a lunch if you will be coming for both sessions. There will be time to interact with current players during the lunch break.

SUNY Oneonta Women’s Basketball Coach

Cooperstown Baseball World - CBW

Cooperstown Baseball World is the only week-long tournament camp of its kind, owned and run by baseball professionals. Each summer tournaments are offered in the 12u, 13u, 14u 1nd 16u age categories, It features a college atmosphere, skills competitions, a visit to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, strong family interaction and induction for the Players and Coaches into the National Youth Hall of Fame!

Each summer, CBW utilizes seven fields total; four on campus and three off campus fields in the town of Oneonta. Additionally, our complex is equipped with six Major League style batting cages.

With the idea of home and road games, the 14U - 16U games are played at three full sized, state-of-the-art fields: the SUNY Oneonta Varsity Baseball Field, Damaschke Field, and the Neahwa Park Field. It is here at Damaschke Field that Babe Ruth played in the 20’s and where Bernie Williams, Andy Pettite, Al Leiter, and Jorge Posada all played in the 80’s and 90’s. This field was also home to the Detroit Tigers Class “A” team.

CBW hosts their Individual Skill Competitions as if it were a pro or college try-out giving a young player the experience of what needs to be done to make it in the Major Leagues! All winners are awarded a custom plaque, engraved with their category.

College United- Premier Field Hockey Camp

SUNY Oneonta will be hosting a Premier Field Hockey Camp. Colleges United will bring together coaches from 10 different institutions for the ultimate field hockey experience. All skill sessions will take place on the campus’s premier turf fields. Camp is open to ages 10-18. Resident campers $415 Commuter campers $365. Camp begins 12 noon on Sunday and ends 12 noon on Wednesday. Don’t miss out on this awesome opportunity!

SUNY Oneonta Women’s Basketball Camp

SUNY Oneonta Women’s Basketball will host a girl’s developmental virtual camp.

Camp counselors will include the present team members. The camp is designed to develop basic fundamentals of the game. The camp will be held July 13-15, for girls ages 10-18. Camp begins Monday (7/13), Tuesday (7/14) and Wednesday (7/15) from 9:30am to 11:00am.

Hoop Mountain NY Girls - Girls Academy Camp

Hoop Mountain New York Girls Academy is a 4 day, 3 night basketball learning experience. At Hoop Mountain New York Girls Academy we pride ourselves on teaching basketball from the basic fundamentals for beginning players to advanced techniques for experienced players. One of the principal components of the Academy is the teaching staff where our staff of college and high school coaches help campers learn both offensive and defensive skills needed to be effective on the court. To complement teaching stations, the Academy offers both individual and team competitions. These allow participants to put to use skills learned at stations. The combination of learning new skills and competing at appropriate ability levels insures that each and every camper at Hoop Mountain New York Girls Academy will improve from the novice hoopster to the experienced varsity player. The Academy will help you make yourself a better basketball player.

Oneonta Speed Power Academy

(ages 11- 18 (participants), Coaches welcome for tutoring)- Day Camp 10:00 am- 3:00 pm.
The Oneonta Speed Power Academy is a 3 day training and learning experience focused on teaching the skills and techniques necessary to develop explosiveness, agility, quickness, and overall improve on velocity. All of these skills are monumentally important to excel in any sport and becoming a better athlete. We will also guide current coaches with implementation of these techniques and will offer guidance on programming, cuing, and training. This speed power camp is brought to you buy a collaboration of Nationally Certified Strength and Conditioning coaches, and College Sprint coaches. Over the three days athletes will learn and practice warm-ups, sprint technique and mechanics, power development, and other skills necessary for you to develop your speed and power to help you succeed in your sport. Our speed power camp will not only make you faster and more explosive, but we will teach the aspects to make you an all-around better athlete.

Oneonta Red Dragon Volleyball Camp

The Red Dragon Women’s Volleyball program will host a girls' general skills overnight/commuter camp. Camp counselors are members of the women’s volleyball team who stay onsite with all campers. The camp is designed to develop and fine tune the correct fundamentals of setting, passing, serving, hitting, and defensive play. Through competitive games and exercises, along with one-on-one instruction from the counselors, we hope that each camper will walk away instilled with a new love for the game.

24-hour adult supervision provided by the Red Dragon Women's Volleyball team, as well as an onsite certified athletic trainer, and 24-hour campus security.

Oneonta Pop Music Experience (OPME)

OPME 2019 is a pop music camp that runs 9am–4pm Mon–Fri for , and is held at SUNY Oneonta’s Fine Arts Center, home to its Music and Music Industry programs. These weeks will offer participants specialized instruction on your instrument or voice and pop ensemble coaching, but will also provide an introduction to a variety of musical styles, music theory and ear training, songwriting, arranging, production and to playing live music. The week will conclude with a live show by all ensembles and a recording of the camp’s musical efforts!

OPME is mostly for teenaged musicians who have played a pop/rock band instrument such as bass, guitar, keyboard or drums or have sung in a structured setting for at least two years. Younger students may be considered if they have considerable experience, interest, and will do well at engaging in music activities for each of our camp days.
The tuition for the week (includes Dining Services lunch each day) is $350. Please register to confirm that there is still places available for your instruction/voice.

GO STEM! Institute 2020: Engineering with Biology

What can you build with Biology? Spider silk, vegan cheese, safer clothing dyes and fertilizers, bacteria that “eat” chewing gum- synthetic biologists have engineered microorganisms to do amazing things! The exciting new field of Synthetic Biology combines science and engineering to design and build new biological functions and systems. The work of synthetic biologists promises to solve some of the world’s biggest problems in health, the environment, and agriculture. Participants will learn about opportunities in this cutting-edge area of science and perform basic synthetic biology techniques: bioinformatics, system design, cutting and pasting DNA parts, working safely with microorganisms, and bacterial transformation. If you like building with Legos, you’ll love using BioBricks to build a new biological organism!

Munchkin All-Sport Camp

This summer the SUNY Oneonta women's soccer team will present the 24th Annual Eastman Associates Munchkin All-Sport Camp. The Camp has blossomed into a local retreat for children to grow socially and recreationally. Children will be exposed to games and skill instruction in a variety of activities to include: soccer, tennis, racquetball, track & field, kickball, basketball, badminton, volleyball and T-ball.

The camp will be held at SUNY Oneonta CANCELLED, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm daily with an option to stay until 4:00 pm for boys and girls 5-12 years old.
Each participant is asked to bring

Headwaters Soccer Camp
