This microcredential will provide instruction in related areas of the Entertainment Industry, including the Music Business, Media Business and general business organization, law, and ethics.

Competencies

Upon completion of the program, you will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • ability to critically analyze, identify, and evaluate proposals and draft deal memos for common industry agreements, including publishing/copublishing, record company, management, touring/live performance;
  • ability to identify legal and ethical implications of business decisions and strategies; and
  • ability to recognize the major concepts and controversies of media law.

You will receive both a notation on your transcript and a digital badge.
