Overview
The legal studies minor provides an interdisciplinary program of study that will assist students in understanding the workings of law and its impact on political, social, and economic life. The legal studies minor targets pre-law students and supports those interested in diverse career paths, including government, health, technology, business, and the non-profit sector. It can be a solid complement to many major fields of study or an area of interest to those who want to pursue law school or a legal career.
With this minor, you will:
- learn about legal institutions through a small core of required courses;
- develop the skills needed to study the law—writing, critical thinking, and communication; and
- examine law from a range of disciplinary perspectives.
