Requirements

See the list of required courses for Psychology majors. Students need a total of 120 credit hours to graduate with a bachelor's degree from SUNY Oneonta. Your associate's degree will cover some of those, and our advisors will help you plan the rest!

Experiential Learning Emphasis

Each student will be offered the opportunity to be placed in a mentored, hands-on 15-week experience at a business or nonprofit organization. It can be in your hometown, or our faculty can help you identify sites in the regional community if you live in or near Oneonta. This hands-on learning will allow you to put your knowledge into practice and give you valuable experience to get a leg up in the job market after graduation.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for Admission, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  •  Have an A.A or A.S degree
  •  Have completed an Introductory Psychology course or the equivalent with a C or higher
  •  A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
