Transfer EOP Students

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is designed to provide access for students who demonstrate academic potential, talent and desire to earn a college degree. EOP assists students who are both academically and financially disadvantaged and provides additional services needed to ensure success.

Transfer students interested in EOP at SUNY Oneonta must have been enrolled in an EOP/HEOP/SEEK/College Discovery program at their prior institution.  If your previous college did not have EOP or a similar program, you may be considered for transfer eligibility and should notify the Office of Admissions of your interest in EOP.

Academic Eligibility

A cumulative GPA of a 2.3 at the most recent college attended with at least 24 semester hours of credit-bearing coursework is required for most majors.

A final cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the most recent college attended is required for ALL Education majors.

Financial Eligibility

A Transfer Verification Form will be sent to your previous institution by the Office of Admissions at SUNY Oneonta.  This form must be completed by the appropriate office at your prior institution and sent back to the Office of Admissions at SUNY Oneonta.
