Recruiters

We were excited to host our annual Graduate and Professional School Fair in person! The cost to attend is set at $75 per recruiter. Registration will go live on August 18, 2025.

Graduate school recruiters are able to register for the event through the Handshake platform. Recruiters needed to have an employer account through Handshake. Instructions for creating an account.

Registration is a two-step process. Information provided through Handshake is used to advertise your school's program to our students. Registering schools are asked to provide detailed information on the graduate/professional school programs available at your college/university. After the registration process is completed through Handshake, recruiters will be emailed an invoice with instructions on how to submit credit card payment. Registration is NOT completed until payment is received. The registration deadline is September 30th.

Please email career@oneonta.edu with any questions.

This is a great event to attend if you are considering attending graduate school. Representatives from graduate and professional schools will be available to answer questions on their programs. First Things First! Podcast

SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College students and staff have teamed up to produce First Things First!, a five-episode podcast to support, educate and build a community around the first-generation experience. Episodes are hosted on Spotify and were released each Wednesday, starting November 8 2023, in recognition of First Generation College Celebration Day.

Episode 1 features two SUNY Oneonta first-generation student alumni. Gianna Boveri ‘20, health promotion coordinator at Hartwick College, and Will Rivera ‘07, crisis intervention director for the Opportunities of Otsego Violence Intervention Program, talk with current first-generation students about how their identity impacted their mental health and how they coped. The cast talks about campus resources and what self-care looks like for them.
