Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, golfers, and supporters, the 2026 Red Dragon Open Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $48,000 to support the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragon Internship Support Fund.
This year’s tournament brought the total raised by the Red Dragon Open since 2001 to more than $830,000 in scholarships and support funds benefiting SUNY Oneonta students. Every year, this event helps create opportunities for students to gain valuable experiences, build professional connections, and take meaningful steps toward their futures.

- Check-in begins at 9 a.m. and includes a continental breakfast.
- The tournament kicks off with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
- Captain and crew format (4-person scramble).
- Numerous on-course contests.
- Lunch is served on the course by SUNY Oneonta students and beverages will be provided on the course throughout the round.
- The tournament concludes with an awards presentation, hearty hors-d'oeuvres, and raffle drawings.
- The tournament will be limited to thirty-four four-person teams and the field fills up quickly.

All tournament proceeds will be directed to the Red Dragon Internship Support Fund.
The Red Dragon Internship Support Fund will be used to make internship experiences more accessible for more SUNY Oneonta students. SUNY Oneonta is committed to making internship experiences available to all students. Through generous donations, SUNY Oneonta students are eligible to apply for funding for internship-related expenses including transportation, living expenses, technology, and more. Taking part in these opportunities allows our students to gain real-world experience, extend their education outside of the classroom, and build their resume.
