History Student Clubs

CLIO: The History Club

CLIO: the History Club sponsors trips, fundraisers, lectures, and other student events. Recent trips included historic locations in Saratoga, Cooperstown, Toronto, and Philadelphia. The purposes of this club are to present programs of an historical focus and interest for the SUNY Oneonta community. -Facilitate communications between the History Department and History Majors, History Minors and Social Education Majors by creating a forum for discussion and social meeting. -Promote meetings which help history students plan for careers and graduate education. What We Do: We go on trips to different cities and museums in the North East, we fundraise for the History Department Scholarship, we organize speakers, we watch historical movies, and we hold historical trivia in our meetings. It’s a fun time and anyone who has a passion for history should check us out!
