On SUNY campuses throughout the state you will find Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP) serving thousands of students. EOP is designed to admit students who do not meet the traditional standards for admissions but possess the desire, potential and talent to earn a college degree. Students admitted through EOP must demonstrate both financial and academic disadvantages.

At Oneonta, a student admitted through EOP, Aspire Oneonta, or CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) receives individualized attention and services throughout their college career as a member of AOP (Access and Opportunity Programs). AOP professionals take pride in assisting students academically, professionally, socially, and personally to become competitive and successful in a demanding and diverse society.

MISSION

The mission of Access and Opportunity Programs at Oneonta is to provide leadership, guidance, support, and services that present opportunities and options encouraging and promoting holistic, individual development for students and campus constituencies along with an ongoing commitment to program advocacy.

VISION

Through unity of purpose, a diverse and supportive environment will be created that challenges and empowers students to excel academically and to be successful, lifelong learners in a global society.
