18th Annual Red Dragon Open
Friday, September 21, 2018
Since its inception in 2001, the Red Dragon Open has raised over $575,471 for scholarships benefiting students at SUNY Oneonta. Join us this year as we celebrate our 18th Anniversary on Friday, September 21, 2018, at the College Golf Course at Delhi.
The tournament will kick off at 10 am with a “shotgun start” and the format is Captain and Crew (4-person scramble). Multiple categories of award winners, a prize raffle, and numerous on-course contests will make your round of golf fun and rewarding.
Registration begins at 9 am and includes a continental breakfast. Lunch is served on the course by our students, and beverages will be provided on the course throughout the round. The day will conclude with an awards presentation, hearty hors-d'oeuvres and raffle drawings.
Please complete the registration form on the back of this brochure and mail it back with your entry fee as soon as possible. The tournament will be limited to thirty-four four-person teams and the field fills up quickly.
We look forward to a wonderful day of golf and fundraising and hope you are able to join us as we celebrate our 18th Anniversary!
THIS YEAR’S SCHOLARSHIP
SUNY Oneonta Sustainability Scholarship
At SUNY Oneonta, we continue to reduce our environmental footprint while engaging the campus community to save resources and engage in activities that address climate change.
In 2014, the Red Closet Thrift Shop was created out of a genuine concern for the responsible reuse of materials and keeping as much consumer product out of our waste stream. All proceeds from sales at the Thrift Shop benefit the SUNY Oneonta Sustainability Scholarship. This award is open to SUNY Oneonta undergraduate students who have demonstrated a dedication to sustainability, its practice, and implementation.
SUNY Oneonta has been included in the Princeton Review’s “Guide to Green Colleges” every year since the guide’s inception in 2010.
