Do you aspire to work in the healthcare industry? Do you want to gain relevant experience, live and take courses with students with similar interests?
The Pre-Health LLC provides declared pre-health professional students of all majors opportunities to learn about health care delivery in diverse communities (rural, urban, global) while gaining field experience and enhancing skills essential to providing effective healthcare.
You will participate in local field trips, attend presentations by healthcare providers, and volunteer in local healthcare facilities. Through these opportunities, you will develop the traits necessary to succeed in healthcare professions—compassion, altruism and the ability to work well on teams. You will also have opportunities to interact with faculty outside the classroom, and to network with both alumni working in healthcare jobs and admissions officers at potential future professional school programs.
Pre-Health LLC students will be enrolled in a first-year seminar taught by a Biology Department faculty member, as well as CHEM 111, an introductory chemistry course taken by all students in pre-health concentrations.
