College Union is a gathering place for students and college employees. You don’t have to hunt too far for a good hangout. Our programming venues offer student-run and college coordinated activities. Live entertainment includes rock and hip-hop concerts, acoustic and jazz shows, or comedy and poetry slams. The Activities Council is a student-driven club which presents a variety of extraordinary programming to meet the interests of the SUNY Oneonta students and campus community. Union facilities include a 1000-seat multipurpose ballroom that serves host to a wide range of events including concerts, dances, banquets, lectures, plays and Oneonta community events; several meeting and conference rooms. Need a coffee? Stop in our Starbucks on the main floor! We offer ATM and vending machines. You can kick back and relax or play in the Dragon's Lair. A modern game room which offers a library of 90 current games for X-Box, PlayStation, and Wii systems and board games; or attends the Red Dragon Theater which shows movies on the weekends.

Hunt Union Information Desk on the main level is the campus connection to find out what's happening in the "House of Chuck". An open Wi-Fi Hotspot is available for our guests in the Living Room. Hunt Union houses the county seat of student government: the Student Association. Hunt Union is also home to our premier programs LEAD@Oneonta and the Big O Poetry Slam. Additional programs and services include the Office of Greek Life, the State Times (student newspaper), Oneontan (yearbook), and the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center/GSRC.

In the fall of 2017, the Hunt Union established a food shelf and is encouraging community members to drop off non-perishable items to the designated shelf in the lower level of Hunt College Union. We continue to improve our effort to address food insecurity via collection, storage, and distribution. Sponsored and led by Student Life and Leadership @ Hunt College Union, Student Association, CSRC, OEI, and Office of Sustainability.

Electronic Waste Collection Station- started in spring of 2014 Hunt College Union partnered with the Office of Sustainability to develop this drop-off program to collect assorted electronic waste products (PC equipment, batteries, cords, phones, printer cartridges, etc.) to minimize the impact on the environment. It is located across from the Information Desk in Hunt Union. Since March 2014 more than 4,500 lbs. has been collected and processed sensibly.

Your Hunt Union is operated and programmed by a committed and enthusiastic staff of professionals and students in the Office of Student Life and Leadership who work with many constituents on and off campus to help foster co-curricular life at the college.
