Hunt Union is a gathering place for students and SUNY Oneonta employees. You don’t have to hunt too far for a good hangout. Our programming venues offer student-run and SUNY Oneonta coordinated activities. Live entertainment includes rock and hip-hop concerts, acoustic and jazz shows, or comedy and spoken word shows. The Activities Council (A/C) is a student-driven club which presents a variety of extraordinary programming to meet the interests of the SUNY Oneonta students and campus community. Union facilities include a 1000-seat multipurpose ballroom that serves as a host to a wide range of events including concerts, dances, banquets, lectures, plays and Oneonta community events; several meeting, program, and conference rooms. Need a coffee? Stop in our Starbucks on the main floor! We offer ATM and vending machines. You can kick back and relax or play in the Dragon's Lair. A modern game room which offers a library of 150+ games for X-Box, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch systems and board games; or attend the Red Dragon Theater which periodically offers movies, special events, and presentations.

The HUb and box office on the main level is the nexus to find out what's happening in the "House of Chuck", or to purchase bus and event tickets. An open Wi-Fi Hotspot is available for our guests in the Living Room. Hunt Union is the county seat of student government: the Student Association (SA). Hunt Union is also home to our premier leadership program LEAD@Oneonta. Additional programs and services include the Office of Greek Life, WONY 90.9 FM (student radio), the State Times (student newspaper), Oneontan (yearbook), and the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC).

In the fall of 2017, the Hunt Union established a food shelf. We continue to improve our effort to address food insecurity by opening the new Red Dragon Food Pantry that gives students and staff free access to nonperishable food, basic needs supplies and fresh produce, thanks to campus and community partners. The full-service food pantry – operated by the Office of Student Care is located on the bottom floor of the Hunt Union.

Electronic Waste Collection Station- started in spring of 2014 Hunt Union partnered with the Office of Sustainability to develop this drop-off program to collect assorted electronic waste products to minimize the impact on the environment. It is located om the main floor across from the Event Reception adjacent to the HUb in Hunt Union.

Your Hunt Union is operated and programmed by a committed and enthusiastic staff of professionals and students in the Office of Student Life and Leadership who work with many constituents on and off campus to help foster co-curricular life at SUNY Oneonta.
