Our First-Year Experience (FYE) program is designed to support you during your transition from high school to college. FYE fosters participation and community development in co-curricular events such as our common read, where incoming first-year students read the same diversity-related book that is discussed in fall courses; guest lectures; large-scale programming events and FYE traditions.
ALL first-year students will live in one of our five, corridor-style FYE halls—an exciting place to begin your Oneonta life! Perks include:
- WiFi, cable TV and telephone service at no additional cost;
- free laundry facilities on each floor, featuring “Laundry View” so you know when your washer or dryer has finished;
- recreational lounges;
- computer lab with printers;
- individual and group study space;
- fitness center; and
- kitchens.
Safe Space and gender-inclusive options are available upon request.
