1982  SUNY Oneonta Foundation established on March 19th

1983 Press conference announcing the first fundraising drive with $250,000 goal

1988 Mills Distinguished Lectureship endowed fund is established

1992 Endowment funds and net asset value surpassed $3 million

1996 Founders’ Society renamed the Netzer Planned Giving Society in honor and memory of our late College President, Royal Netzer, and his wife Clara

1998 Bequest gift from Rufus Thayer expanded the Biological Field Station

1999 Cornell-Gladstone-Hanlon-Kaufmann Lecture Fund established

2001 $1.1 million raised to establish Alumni Field House endowment

2005 Foundation welcomed first students to the Board of Directors: Amanda Villari ’07 and Jonathan Winnicki ’06

2007 Endowment funds and net asset value surpassed $30 million

2008 Board approved the naming of the Martin-Mullen Art Gallery with gift commitment of $250,000.

2010 Visions and Solutions: The Fund for Science and Technology raised over $5.2 million for scholarship support in the Sciences,  Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics fields.

2012 Awarded scholarship and program support funds exceeded $2.5 million

2013 Endowment funds and net asset value surpassed $40 million

2015  The 125th Anniversary Possibilities Full of Promise campaign raised over $13.6 million

2018 Launch of $25 million fundraising campaign, Grow. Thrive. Live. The Future of SUNY Oneonta

2021 Endowment funds and net asset value surpassed $80 million

Giving Builds a Strong Foundation.

The endowment fund has grown from $74,744 in 1982 to $84,000,000 in 2022. The scholarships awards fund has grown from $0 in 1982 to $2,500,000 in 2022.
