SUNY Oneonta is located in New York State, a 3 1/2 hour drive from New York City. Scholarships

The New York State Advantage Award: The amount of this award is $8,000 per year and is renewable for up to 4 years for a maximum value of $32,000.

This scholarship is guaranteed to non-New York residents and international students who are seeking the New York State college experience at our centrally located campus in the beautiful hills of Oneonta, New York. We are eager to showcase the advantages of SUNY Oneonta and acknowledge your achievements with this award. There is no separate application process to be considered for this award.

Natsumi “Mimi” Oda
Growing up in Japan, music lover Mimi Oda would listen as her mom watched American television, dreaming of someday living and working in New York City. As a Music Industry major at SUNY Oneonta with two internships under her belt, a rock band of her own, and time logged in the studio and onstage, Mimi is closer than ever to achieving her dream.
Kento Igarashi
During his sophomore year as an international student from Japan, Kento Igarashi transferred to SUNY Oneonta, discovered a passion for photography and landed a graphic design internship.
