In her 10 years as SUNY Oneonta's president, Dr. Nancy Kleniewski cheered on thousands of students during Pass Through the Pillars, a beloved tradition for graduating seniors and incoming freshmen. In June, it was her turn to pass through the pillars of Old Main, the college’s first building, signifying her time at Oneonta coming to an end.
Campus and community members gathered June 21 for a farewell reception, where Dr. Kleniewski's presidential portrait was unveiled. She retired effective July 1. She was SUNY Oneonta's seventh president, and the college's first female president.
