Seven SUNY Oneonta students made the most of winter break during an adventurous field trip out west for their upper-level course Field Geology of Plate Boundaries (GEOL 343).
SUNY Oneonta will host one of the state’s 10 new COVID-19 community testing sites announced by Gov. Kathy Hochul on Monday. The Oneonta site – which opens Friday, Jan. 7 – will provide testing specifically for those who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
SUNY Oneonta held its 2021 Fall Commencement ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 5, in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. Hosted by college President Alberto Cardelle, the event recognized students who are expected to complete their requirements for graduation this semester. Students who completed graduation requirements in May or August 2021 were also invited to participate in the ceremony.
“What Can You Do With a Degree in Art” is a multimedia group exhibition featuring work by Associate Professor of Digital Art Sven Anderson and more than 50 of his current and former students. The exhibit fills all three Fine Arts Center galleries and showcases work by alumni who have applied what they learned in Anderson’s digital art classes to careers in wide variety of fields, including: animation, tattoo art, teaching, costume and clothing design, photography, visual effects for video games and movies, graphic and web design, art direction, illustration, software development and more.

Keeping its promise to graduates, SUNY Oneonta held a graduation recognition and celebration for the Class of 2020 on Saturday, Oct. 30, on campus in the Alumni Field House.
