Cynthia graduated in May 2019 and began an internship at DeWolfe Music, doing synch licensing. She was then accepted to the Disney College Program, where she works in costuming, preparing cast members' costumes.
Why SUNY Oneonta?
I chose SUNY Oneonta because they had a Music Industry major and also because I was always very into the theater. A lot of the other schools I applied to that had music industry wouldn’t allow non-theater majors to audition for shows. I wanted to have the option to do a bunch of different things. I also liked all the different clubs I could be a part of and all the campus events that happen.
Mask and Hammer club, Apollo Music Club, Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honor Society, OSnap
Theater. Definitely. My first production, “Colony Collapse,” was a small cast and everybody was close. Everybody loved each other, and the production was great. Everything just felt right.
What I’ll Remember in 20 Years
I took Rock Combo and loved it. I was the singer, and we performed at the Oak and then at Foothills downtown. I love performing.
Plans, Goals, Dreams
My dream job is to be a singer, maybe alternative rock or soul. That’s why I’m a music industry major and not a theater major. I’d like to do an internship after I graduate, maybe in Nashville, maybe in LA.
