Bloomberg Philanthropies has recognized SUNY Oneonta as an American Talent Initiative (ATI) High-Flier, a group of 28 high-graduation-rate institutions that are national leaders in college access and success for lower-income students. SUNY Oneonta received the distinction for its high Pell share, and innovative recruitment, enrollment and retention practices.
Generous new grants from The Clark Foundation will allow researchers at SUNY Oneonta’s Biological Field Station (BFS) in Cooperstown to continue to monitor and study the presence of harmful algal blooms (HABs) on Otsego Lake, just in time for the summer season.
Approximately 25 tons of gently used items donated by SUNY Oneonta students were saved from the waste stream and given new life this week, thanks to the annual Move-Out Donation and Reuse Collection program, a partnership with The Arc Otsego.
