Family, friends, faculty and staff celebrated SUNY Oneonta’s Class of 2023 during Spring Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 20. Visitors gathered inside the Alumni Field House to recognize the 1,150 students expected to complete their requirements for graduation this semester.

Five Oneonta businesses are being recognized for their dedication to diversity and inclusion with a newly established award, given jointly by SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College.

Sixty-two SUNY Oneonta students and the Sport and Exercise Sciences department partnered with Special Olympics to host a regional track and field event at Oneonta High School on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

Nearly 300 SUNY Oneonta students spent Saturday, May 6, volunteering at local businesses, parks, nonprofits and schools during the university's annual community service day, Into The Streets. 

Professor of English George Hovis has been appointed to the prestigious rank of SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor.
