State University of New York Chancellor John B. King Jr. visited SUNY Oneonta on Thursday, Feb. 16, to meet with students, faculty, staff and community leaders and learn more about programs that support student success, research, economic growth, and diversity, equity and inclusion. Oneonta was the 13th stop on a tour that will take the chancellor to each of the 64 campuses in the SUNY system this spring.

Ink, a 4-month-old black Labrador Retriever puppy, is making history at SUNY Oneonta as the first pup to be raised on campus for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a nonprofit organization that provides guide dogs to people experiencing vision loss.

SUNY Oneonta is among the newest members of the American Talent Initiative (ATI), an alliance of 137 four-year institutions united in a shared goal of enrolling, supporting and graduating 50,000 additional talented, lower-income students across high-graduation-rate colleges and universities by 2025.

SUNY Oneonta is the new host of the SUNY COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) Center. The SUNY COIL Center serves the largest and longest-standing community of its kind, connecting 147 institutions throughout the world in a virtual web of cultural and educational exchange.

Members of SUNY Oneonta’s men’s soccer team coaching staff received a prestigious honor recently, being named 2022 Division III Region III Staff of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches, the largest soccer coach organization in the world.
